Product: The Momcozy lactation breastfeeding massager
When I find a parent hack or product that is a game-changer in the mamahood, I have to share the love.
As mamas, we all have our own stories and adventures with feeding our little ones. I still remember my first day breastfeeding at a public event. I forgot to lock the door to the washroom at a wedding, and a groomsman walked in just in the nic of time to be accidentally flashed. He panicked and fled the washroom like he’d never seen a woman’s breast before. It was awkward.
But the day-to-day of our feeding journey can be much more complicated. We deal with low supply, oversupply, latching issues, the quality of our milk, breastfeeding in public, picking up donor milk, choosing and affording formula, breast pain, and more.
I have two little ones of my own, and one of the most painful parts of my breastfeeding experiences were dealing with mastitis. This is where milk ducts get clogged, causing significant pain, redness, swelling, discomfort, fever, and chills. If not relieved, it can cause infection. You get the picture: Not a fun time.
I tried everything to help with clogged ducts - the warm showers, heating pads, hand massages, pumping, and so on. It was a slow and painful process every time. I was starting to dread dealing with the same issue (I’m currently pregnant with my third baby) and then - then … I found the Momcozy Warming and Vibration Lactation Massager. Ladies, get ready for your breastfeeding journey to get turned on its head - mine is about to be.
Here is why I love the Momcozy Warming and Vibration Lactation Massager, can’t wait to use it, and would recommend investing in it for yourself:
It’s great for upping your feeding supply. Reviews mention better milk flow, faster let down, and more milk coming out than with a breast pump.
It’s easy to use. I figured it out in about a minute. It has an on/off button, 3 different modes (heating, massaging, or both), and is charged using USB cord with a magnet attachment at the end. And you can clean it by simply running it under hot water!
It is versatile. You can use it in the shower (yay for waterproof!), for massaging clogged ducts and helping milk let down from different parts of the breast, to ease pain from engorged breasts, and it’s easy to travel with - pocket-sized and comes in a cloth bag.
It is safe to have around. There are no small parts for baby to choke on, it’s made with BPA-free materials, and it can be charged without needing to be plugged into a wall.
It’s a terrific size! There is a size guide available on the website to make it effective for each mama, and fits easily into your nursing bra - so you can use it without attracting obvious attention.
The drawbacks to the product?
It takes a bit to heat up, so I recommend turning it on 5 minutes before using it.
I’ve also noticed that the battery life also drains faster when the heat function is on.
