It’s been said that you’ll never know what true exhaustion feels like until you become a parent. When my daughter was born, I learned that truth very quickly!

Figuring out how to get my baby to sleep so that I could sleep became my #1 priority. 

In October 2018 I did my certification and became a Certified Pediatric Sleep Coach, and started Little Winks Sleep™. I am so thankful to wake up each day well-rested, and knowing we have helped over 900+ other families do the same!

I created Sleep Sleep Baby™ because I want every parent to have the tools they need to experience parenthood without being sleep deprived.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Extending naps is a lot of what we talk through in the short nap module. It is generally because A) they’re overtired, B) they don’t control their journey to sleep, or C) they're under tired and need more sleep pressure.

  • Naps are unpredictable for a baby who feeds to sleep because they struggle to maintain their sleep status independently. The key is that your child needs to feel confident and calm doing that by themselves. Teaching this skill is much more in-depth, and therefore, we have to look at the whole 24-hour period. It involves going back to the core sleep values for your baby, teaching them while with them, and not leaving them to cry. If this is something you need help with, you can look at our online plan or talk to one of our coaches!

  • This is a baby-dependent question. In our time working with over 400 little ones, we have seen it go both ways. Their nights are most affected but often naps can be too.

    If it is not the four-month sleep regression then it is likely a result of a new skill being developed. Watch your child to see what they are learning, studying, or mastering, then engage in that activity intensely to speed up the regression.

  • Absolutely!!! It takes a bit of work, but as I say, consistency avoids confusion, and confusion creates crying. So as long as you are consistent and work at the timing and the skill, you will see the ease and flexibility come!

  • The first nap of the day is the most quality nap, so we advise that this is the nap to prioritize being at home for if possible. Because it is the better quality of sleep, it is often the longest.

  • Babies are great little fighters when they are overtired or struggling to initiate their sleep skills. Take a moment to have a big deep breath and ask yourself if they are overtired? If so, it is understandable, as they have a lot going on in their little bodies.
